The Manchester pianist goes straight to the top of the UK Classical Charts with this recording of a cycle of live performances in Helsinki, with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra & Hannu Lintu. Only available on CD, it is sure to be recognised as one of his most important recordings. Originally from Thelwall, he studied at Chetham's School of Music from the age of 10 to 15 (1972-1977) followed by four years at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he is now the International Chair of Piano Studies.
