BRONTE -
Tue 29th Nov to Sat 3rd Dec 2005 - The Lowry Theatre |
It is 1845 and Branwell
Brontë returns home in disgrace, dismissed after an affair
with his employer’s wife. But as their brother descends into
alcoholism and insanity - bringing chaos to the parsonage - the
Brontë sisters write… This extraordinary new play evokes
the real and imagined worlds of the Brontës. As fictional characters

that three Victorian spinsters, living in isolation on the Yorkshire
moors, could have written some of the most powerful and passionate
fiction of all time? |
