Of the more recent matches from the 1990's onwards, highlights of the games can be found on the season video/dvd review.

The FA Charity Shield 1993 - Arsenal vs Manchester United
This was to be one of the most excited Charity Shield matches ever witnessed. As early as the 8th minute, Eric Cantona played the ball back to Mark Hughes who scored one of his trade mark volleys. At the other end, Ian Wright equalised with a brilliant goal made from nothing. After 90 minutes it finished 1-1. Wright then went from hero to villian as he missed a penalty in the penalty shootout which would have won it for the Gunners. Bryan Robson took advantage of Wright's miss by putting United 5-4 ahead, and finally Peter Schmeichel saved a sudden-death penalty lamely taken by his fellow goalkeeper David Seaman.

In the first half, Ince was brought down by Colin Hendry and King Eric had coolly slotted home a penalty in the bottom left hand corner of the goal leaving Tim Flower's helpless. Paul Ince confirmed United's win with a spectacular overhead kick, celebrating at the United end as the fans went mad!

Incredible! - Manchester United vs Arsenal - 2004/05
49 matches unbeaten, Arsenal came to Old Trafford confident of reaching the 50 mark. United had other ideas though. As Rooney tumbled in the box, the Arsenal players swarmed the ref accusing Rooney of cheating. Finally Ruud could step up. In true Van Nistelrooy style, he slotted home calmly. Rooney put the cherry on top of the cake as he finished off a sweet move at the end. United 2 Arsenal 0. Pizzas would fly after the game. Then on to Highbury in February. Keano vs Vieria in the tunnel before the match - great entertainment. Arsenal took an early lead, Giggs hit back, Bergkamp makes it 2-1. The second half was all United. Ronaldo's quick double, Silvestre sent off and O'Shea beautifully chipping in for 4-2. Own this DVD now - a must own for any true red! Released on March 14th 2005.
