First
sang in support of David Beckham the season following
his sending off in the England v Argentina 1998 World
Cup match, which England went on to lose in a penalty
shoot-out. Whilst sang at almost every game since, the
song also became an anthem for Argentinan reds, Juan
Sebastian Veron (2001-03), Gabriel Heinze (2004-07)
and Carlos Tevez (2007-09). |

That
Boy Ronaldo
(Makes England Look Shite) |
He
plays on the left, |
He
plays on the right, |
That
boy Ronaldo |
Makes
England look shite! |
|
Originally
the song was 'That boy Ronaldo makes Beckham look shite',
after he inherited Beck's famous number 7 shirt in 1993.
This didn't sit well with most United fans and was quickly
changed a few months later when his penalty helped knock
England out of the 2004 European Championship Finals.
The song received a more passionate airing when Ronaldo
received death threats from England fans, after his
winning penalty also knocked England out of the 2006
World Cup Finals. |

Sarcastically
sang about any English player who is having an awful
game against United, even including a 17 year old Wayne
Rooney, when he had a stinker playing for Everton at
Old Trafford in 2003, and Rio Ferdinand on many occassions
for West Ham and Leeds United (especially when United
thrashed West Ham 7-1 in 2000). |

Sarcastically
sang at any English goalkeeper who is having an awful
game against United. Having played for United's biggest
rivals, Liverpool and city, David James has probably
heard it most (especially when United beat West Ham
6-0 in 2001). |

Sarcastically
sang towards the Manchester city manager in 2007-08.
The same song was also sang towards Kevin Keegan (2001-05)
and Graham Taylor, as well as other managers tipped
for the national job, when getting beat by United. |
