Gary James has done a fantastic job in telling the story
of the growth (and, in some cases, decline) of the many
clubs which have made the Manchester area such a hotbed
of football. United features heavily, as you'd expect,
but this is a big book in every sense of the word and
no matter which local club you support, you will find
the book engrossing. When it was first published in 2008,
we rated it as the best publication of the year and we're
delighted that a second fully updated edition has now
been published.
