International
Buffet Chinese Restaurant Manchester - reader comments
"Because
of the football most restaurants were fully booked and
we were finding it hard to decide what we fancied. As
we were close to China Town an all you can eat buffet
sounded like a good option (especially as I was really
really hungry!). We went in to double check that they
were serving duck as my friend was having a craving.
We asked if we could view the food first
which they allowed us to do (just to make sure it was
fresh and had a good turnaround).
We were seated, ordered drinks and told we could go
up and eat when we were ready. They had a really
good selection of dishes, including soups,
starters, seafood, typical Chinese mains and load more.
The food was tasty, however as we arrived
about 10pm they were getting ready to close so food
wasn't being as replenished as often as we'd have hoped,
but there was plenty to go at!
We paid £9.95 each for all you can eat, which
I think has to be one of the best value buffet's
for this time of night. I think we ate enough
to make it very worth while, and for a budget fill your
boots type place then International is a good
place to visit. One thing I didn't like was
when paying the bill using my debit card the waiter
asked me 'Would you like to tip the waiters for the
service?' which makes you feel a little uncomfortable
and obliged.
So to sum up, very cheap, good selection of
food. Don't go here for a romantic meal or
if you want to try out top notch Chinese food. But if
you are on a budget, out with a large group or fancy
trying a bit of everything then International is OK"
