Manchester Bars - Piccadilly & Portland Street

There are a number of pubs and bars around the revamped Piccadilly Station, new Piccadilly Gardens and Portland Street.
From the minute you step off the train at Piccadilly, there's a choice of traditional pubs, sports bars and even gay clubs waiting to greet you around the station itself. The walk down Station Approach towards Piccadilly Gardens offers funky hotel bars, chain bars and a German-themed beer hall. From here you can venture into the Northern Quarter with its popular bohemian bars or down the main Market Street shopping area towards the trendier Printworks.
Alternatively, take a 90 degree left turn at Piccadilly Gardens and walk down Portland Street, sandwiched either side by the Gay Village and China Town, to experience some of Manchester's most intimate traditional pubs, large chain bars and even a science fiction theme bar complete with Darleks.
