The
top end of Deansgate has always been one of Manchester's
most popular areas, with a collection of trendy bars that
were present when Castlefield,
The Printworks and Deansgate
Locks hadn't even been dreamed of. Footballers and rock
stars could often be found sipping champagne and looking
cool in Deansgate's trendy bars. Whilst the in-crowd may
have moved further down Deansgate to The
Locks, the original 'going out district' is still as
popular as ever, and provides
an ideal place to wind down after a day shopping or a great
place to enjoy a pre-concert pint - the MEN Arena is a short
walk away, as is the
Royal Exchange and Opera
