Manchester's
Gay Village is without doubt the livliest area of the city
and this is reflected by the number of pubs, bars and clubs
dotted around Canal Street (or 'anal treet' as it's also
affectionately known locally). The area was celebrated in
the Queer As Folk television drama and boasts some of the
best bars in Europe.
'Gaychester', as it is popularly
dubbed, is normally busy twenty fours a day and boasts a
unique atmosphere that has to be experienced regardless
of your sexuality.
