~ 2008-09 AWARD FOR BEST PRODUCTION ~

Afrika! Afrika (Trafford Centre)

André Helle probably chose the wrong time of year to bring his amazing Afrika! Afrika show to Manchester, as the summer holidays meant that many people missed out an incredible show. That said, plenty of you voted for this non-stop troupe of over 100 African artists, eccentrics, dancers, singers and musicians, who all had that special something. The circus theatre located in the Trafford Centre's car park offered unbelievable acrobatics, intoxicating rhythms and costumes of exceptional beauty to earn the tag 'The African Cirque du Soleil'.
